The meeting of minds on this 19th day of March 2024, between Capiz State University (CAPSU) and the Dept. of Health- Food and Drug Administration (DOH-FDA) Region VI signifies a significant opportunity to address the needs of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)/ incubatees of the Agri-Aqua Business Incubator (ATBI) and Agribusiness Incubator (ABI) in Capiz regarding FDA permits and technical Assistance.

Many SMEs need help in understanding & complying with FDA regulations and permit requirements. By joining forces, CAPSU and DOH-FDA RO6 can develop tailored training programs, workshops, and educational materials to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of MSMEs in the permit application processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

This collaboration aims to contribute to the long-term sustainability and development of MSMEs in Capiz and in the surrounding areas. By empowering MSMEs with the tools and support they need to navigate regulatory requirements, access markets, and complete effectively, the partnership can create a conducive environment for entrepreneurship, investment, and socioeconomic advancement, leading to inclusive growth and prosperity for the community as a whole.

DOH-FDA was represented by OIC Supervisor Ms. Lemia Blances and Ms. Eunice Kay Yasa with CAPSU VP RDE Efren Linan, ATBI Manager Princess Palawan, ABI Manager Grace Villa, and University Extension Associate II Ms. Rae Norrein Ledesma.
