Kyla Omega Dela Torre, a Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) Electrical Technology student at Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main Campus clinched the gold medal in the padded event light weight category and bronze medal in the non-traditional single weapon category.
Dela Torre represented CAPSU, the Philippine Army – Visayas, and the 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG) in the Philippine Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Games 2023 with the theme, “Tibay at Galing Pagyamanin, Suportahan Palarong ROTC Natin,” which aims to highlight sports development, discover new talents, and promote the ROTC program, held at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Malate, Manila, on October 20-29, 2023.
Along with her in the said competition were Dr. Rossandrew Villaruel, CAPSU Sport Director, Mr. Alfonso Clavero Jr. and Mr. Jayvee Crespo as the coaches.
