
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers officially released on Tuesday, May 12, the results of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) for both the elementary and secondary levels.
As announced, 18,376 out of 32,796 (56.03%) examinees passed the elementary level, while 45,001 out of 61,561 (73.10%) examinees passed the secondary level. Overall, 63,377 out of 94,357 examinees successfully passed the examination, resulting in a national passing rate of 67.17%.
Capiz State University (CAPSU) added another milestone to its growing roster of achievements after producing four new board topnotchers in the March 2026 LEPT, namely:
For the elementary level, Lovelin Deslate Devera, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program from the Pontevedra Campus, ranked Top 5 with a rating of 93.80%, while fellow BEEd graduate and Cum Laude awardee Mauren Dollete Tumanday also from the same campus placed Top 8 with a rating of 93.20%.
Meanwhile, in the secondary level, Keneth Baticados Rone, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in Science program from the Pontevedra Campus, secured Top 7 with a rating of 93.80%. Likewise, Joane Miles Aurelio Veedor, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program from the Roxas City Main Campus, earned Top 8 with a rating of 93.60%.
For the elementary level, CAPSU recorded 118 passers out of 208 examinees, registering a 56.73% institutional passing rate. Of the total passers, 102 were first-time takers, equivalent to a 70.83% passing rate among first-time examinees.
Campus-wise, the elementary level passers were distributed as follows: 18 passers (75.00%) from Dayao Satellite College; 18 (69.23%) from Dumarao Satellite College; 13 (72.22%) from the Burias Campus; 10 (43.48%) from Pilar Satellite College; 26 (74.29%) from the Pontevedra Campus; one (50.00%) from the Sapian Satellite College; and 32 (40.00%) from the Tapaz Satellite College.
In the secondary level, CAPSU achieved an 82.88% passing rate after producing 460 passers out of 555 examinees. Among these, 432 were first-time takers, translating to an 88.34% passing rate.
The secondary level passers came from the following campuses: 192 passers (88.48%) from the Roxas City Main Campus; one (50.00%) from Dayao Satellite College; 50 (78.13%) from Dumarao Satellite College; two (100.00%) from Mambusao Satellite College; 85 (90.43%) from the Burias Campus; one (33.33%) from Pilar Satellite College; 82 (87.23%) from the Pontevedra Campus; 42 (56.76%) from Sigma Satellite College; and five (100.00%) from Tapaz Satellite College.
Overall, CAPSU produced 578 new licensed professional teachers (LPTs) and posted a 75.75% institutional passing rate, surpassing the national passing rate of 67.17%.
The PRC administered the board exams on March 15, at testing centers in National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Batanes, Bayambang, Bohol, Cauayan, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Lipa (Batangas), Maasin (Southern Leyte), Marinduque, Mati, Nueva Vizcaya, Oroquieta (Misamis Occidental), Romblon, Sablayan (Occidental Mindoro), Tagum, Masbate City and Virac, Catanduanes.
