Key officials of the Capiz State University (CAPSU) conducted an ocular inspection and met with the faculty, staff and students at the Tapaz Satellite College on September 17, 2026.
The visit was part of CAPSU’s system-wide pre-opening conference aimed at assessing institutional readiness and ensuring the smooth conduct of classes for the Academic Year 2026-2027.

University President Dr. Efren L. Linan led the Central Administration delegation. He was joined by Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Director for Quality Assurance; Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Director for Instruction; Atty. Jaybe L. Blancaflor, Unit Head of the Public Information Office; Ms. Fe Lynn L. Linan, Executive Assistant III; and Ms. Sally C. Biclar, Private Secretary.
The delegation was welcomed by Satellite College Director Dr. Ricky D. Fecara, alongside faculty, staff and students.

Dr. Linan and the key officials inspected the classrooms, laboratories, the library, offices and student support facilities. During the walkthrough, Dr. Linan and the officials provided actionable recommendations for the improvement of the campus facilities, supporting more effective academic delivery and student services.
Following the inspection, Dr. Linan held an open dialogue with the faculty and staff to discuss operational concerns and outline strategic plans for the campus moving forward.

The visit coincided with the campus intramurals, giving Dr. Linan an opportunity to address the students.
“Hopefully, this Intramurals Meet 2026 will bring us not only fun, breaking the monotony of being inside the four corners of the classroom, but the learnings that we can get out of this event. The character that we have developed, the collaboration that we have made, and the importance of this event as we move forward towards facing challenges…”, Dr. Linan said.
System-wide campus visits remain a vital undertaking for the University Administration. These regular checks ensure that academic operations, facilities, and student support services consistently maintain a conducive, harmonious learning and working environment across all CAPSU campuses.
