Capiz State University (CAPSU) joined the nationwide conduct of Handog ng Pangulo 2026: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat on September 14, at Robinsons Roxas, Roxas City, Capiz. Organized by Malacañan Palace and facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the activity was simultaneously held in various parts of the country, bringing together government agencies and partner institutions in a unified public service initiative.
The nationwide activity aims to bring essential government programs, services, and assistance closer to Filipinos by providing communities with more convenient access to various forms of support from participating local, regional, and national government agencies.
The Capiz leg of the activity was graced by National Amnesty Commission (NAC) Chairperson Leah C. Tanodra-Armamento, who represented President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., together with Capiz Governor Hon. Fredenil H. Castro, as well as officials and representatives from participating government agencies and partner institutions.
On behalf of CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, the University was represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Annalie G. Campos; Vice President for Research, Development and Extension Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar; and OIC-Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Toche Vic B. Doce.
As part of its participation, CAPSU established a booth on the second floor of Robinsons Roxas, where University personnel, led by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), provided information and assistance to the general public. Visitors were able to learn more about the University’s academic programs, student services, and other institutional initiatives.
Alongside the CAPSU booth, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VI (CHEDRO VI) also provided information and essential services through its own booth, giving visitors convenient access to higher education-related programs, services, and assistance throughout the activity.
Through Handog ng Pangulo 2026, the public can conveniently access various government services, programs, and assistance from participating agencies in one venue, reducing the need to visit multiple government offices. By bringing these services closer to communities, the initiative embodies its theme, “Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat,” and reinforces the government’s commitment to making public services more accessible, responsive, and inclusive for every Filipino. | via Atty.
