Demonstrating exceptional discipline and tactical proficiency, the Capiz State University (CAPSU) ROTC Unit achieved an impressive overall rating of 93.04% during the Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026, held at the Pontevedra Campus on April 8, 2026.

This result reflects the readiness and commitment of the unit’s cadets and officers. Under the leadership of LTC Wennie F. Legario, PA (RES), the ROTC Unit continues to be guided by a dedicated corps of tactical officers and instructors overseeing training of cadets across the university’s nine campuses and satellite colleges.

Representing University President Dr. Efren L. Linan, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Annalie G. Campos, together with LTC Legario and Dr. Elmer M. Albaladejo, Director for National Training Service Program, welcomed the tactical evaluation team and conducted the review of ranks prior to the unit’s formal endorsement for assessment.

The evaluation team was led by MAJ Aaron Jake B. Bungag (INF) PA, representing Committee Chairman COL Antonio V. Burton GSC (INF) PA. Their team evaluated the unit across several demanding categories to determine their total score: Administration and Management, Evaluation of Commandant and Staff, Arrival Honors and Ceremonial Parade, Inspection in Ranks, Small Unit Tactical Skills, Military Stakes and Basic Life Support and the Comprehensive Examination.

In her address, Dr. Campos emphasized that RAATI is more than just scores—it is about character building. “Today is not only about evaluation. It is about purpose,” Dr. Campos stated. “It is about the kind of institution we are and the kind of individuals we are shaping.”

Dr. Campos further challenged the cadets and officers to translate their military discipline into civic responsibility: “Do not be passive observers of the world around you. Be aware. Be involved. Be responsible. Use your education not just to build a career, but to contribute to society. Let your voice stand for truth, your actions reflect discipline, and your decisions be guided by integrity.”

The event saw a significant turnout of university key officials, campus heads and faculty members. This morale-boosting presence underscores the university’s dedication to the holistic development of its students, as the unit now looks forward to potentially clinching the top spot in the regional rankings.
