Capiz State University (CAPSU) warmly welcomed its graduates back to their roots during the Alumni Day celebration held on March 19, 2026, at the Dadivas Gym, Roxas City Main Campus. Alumni from across the university’s nine campuses and satellite colleges gathered to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate their shared journey as CAPSUnian.

Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, led the welcoming honors. In her address, she emphasized the alumni’s vital role as beacons for the current student body, noting that their professional successes serve as a primary source of inspiration for the next generation of CAPSU graduates.

University President Dr. Efren L. Linan, represented by Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance, delivered a powerful inspirational message. Dr. Linan praised the alumni as the “true reflection” of the university’s core values.

“Your journeys—from classrooms and lecture halls to workplaces, communities, and even across different parts of the world—tell the story of perseverance, determination, and hope,” Dr. Linan stated in his message. “As alumni of Capiz State University, we are called not only to succeed in our individual careers but to be catalysts of meaningful change in society. Our education is not merely a personal achievement—it is a social responsibility.”

The event featured an awarding ceremony honoring alumni who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields, as well as those who have remained steadfast supporters of CAPSU’s programs through their generous contributions and dedicated service.

The atmosphere was further elevated by the CAPSU Main Chorale, who showcased their world-class talent, serenading the audience with their captivating performance.

The presence of Campus Administrators and Satellite College Directors underscored the university’s commitment to its graduates, ensuring every alumnus felt truly valued. The program reached its peak with a Unity Dance, a symbolic gesture reminding the attendees that regardless of where their paths lead, they will always have a home at CAPSU.

The Alumni Day celebration is one of the highlights of CAPSU’s 22nd University Day festivities. The event was organized by the Alumni Affairs and Community Relations Office, led by Prof. Davidica L. Avelino. Dr. Christine F. Quenga, a faculty member from the Burias Campus, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
