University President Dr. Efren L. Linan convened the Capiz State University’s (CAPSU) Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Council on October 1, 2025 at the Accreditation Room of the Roxas City Main Campus.
The meeting was conducted to obtain updates from the campus’ DRRM Chairs regarding the actions taken during the recent typhoon and the earthquake that took place in the evening of September 30. The council also discussed measures to further strengthen the university’s response in the event of emergencies and natural disasters.

Dr. Linan also urged the Campus Administrators, Satellite College Directors and Campus DRRM Chairs to ensure the safety of the students and employees during such incidents.
University key officials also participated in the meeting including Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; Dr. Arnel Van V. Aleligay, Director for Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office; Dr. Amel L. Magallanes, Director for Climate Change Management; and Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Director for Quality Assurance.
