CAPSU, UNSRI hold Int’l Collaborative Meeting; set initiatives for academic growth and global linkages
The College of Education (COED) of Capiz State University (CAPSU) and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) successfully held an International Collaboration Meeting on September 24 via Zoom, paving the way for broader academic and cultural opportunities.

In her message, Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, COED Dean, expressed gratitude to the participants, while UNSRI Dean Dr. Hartono and Vice Dean Dr. Rita Inderawati conveyed their strong support for academic advancement and international engagement. Other faculty from both institutions were also formally introduced before moving into the main discussions.
Key collaborative initiatives were proposed, including online visiting lectures, webinar series, book writing workshops, research partnerships, mentoring, and resource sharing. Both parties agreed to formally launch these initiatives in November, underscoring their shared commitment to internationalization.
Also present at the virtual meeting were COED graduate and undergraduate program chairpersons alongside faculty members of UNSRI’s Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Ginalyn G. Dacles, Chairperson for External Affairs and Linkages of the Main Campus, who emphasized the importance of sustaining international partnerships and acknowledged the active involvement of both institutions.
This engagement marks the beginning of stronger academic and cultural linkages between CAPSU and UNSRI.
