The Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main Campus officially opened its Intramurals Meet 2025 on September 23 at the Dadivas Gymnasium, anchored on the theme “Advancing CAPSUnian Spirit Through Sports and Cultural Excellence.”
On behalf of CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance, delivered an inspiring message to the participants. She emphasized that the essence of the intramurals lies in upholding the CAPSUnian values of excellence, pride, and community spirit. “It’s about giving our all, pushing ourselves to be the best, and showcasing our talents and abilities,” Dr. Martelino said.

In her message, she challenged the students to aim higher as one united CAPSU, recalling the university’s strong finish in last year’s Regional SCUAA Meet, “This competition is not just about individual achievement, but about representing our university with pride and unity. As one CAPSU, let’s show everyone what we’re capable of. Let’s aim to break our record from last year’s Regional SCUAA Meet where we placed 2nd. Let’s work together and strive to be the champion!”
Likewise, Dr. Cleo Jude A. Joaquin, Focal Person of the Roxas City Main Campus, conveyed inspiring words of encouragement and good luck to the participating students and officiating officials, encouraging them to “play with fairness and give their best in every game and cultural event.”
Rila Mea Lusanta, a national athlete from this university, led the athletes’ Oath of Amateurism and the ceremonial lighting of the Flame of Sportsmanship, joined by fellow national athletes. Meanwhile, Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo, Student Affairs Services Chairperson of the Roxas City Main Campus, administered the Oath of Amateurism for the officials, while Dr. Arnel Van V.
