The future belongs to you. Claim it with confidence, humility, and faith.”
– Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President III.

The Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main Campus held its 10th Moving-Up and 21st Recognition Day Ceremonies to honor the Junior High School (JHS) completers and academic awardees of the Laboratory High School (LHS). The event had the theme, “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas,” that took place on April 15 at the Dadivas Gymnasium.

In his address, CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan warmly welcomed the attendees and emphasized the significance of the occasion.

“Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in the lives of our graduates as they move up to new challenges and opportunities. It is with immense pride and deep gratitude that we gather here today, not merely to witness a ceremony, but to celebrate a journey of courage, determination, and unity,” he said.

Dr. Linan also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the parents and teachers for their unwavering support and guidance.

“Thank you for being the unwavering pillars of support, for shaping these young minds with wisdom and love, and for reminding them that no dream is too big and no goal is beyond reach when pursued with perseverance and faith.”

Addressing the completers, Dr. Linan encouraged them to see this achievement as the beginning of greater things to come.

“Today is not the end, but a beautiful continuation of your life’s story. Take pride in what you have accomplished, but never settle. Keep learning, keep believing, and keep standing as one.” He added, “As you stand at the threshold of new beginnings, may you take a moment to look back with gratitude on the path you’ve traveled. Remember the obstacles you have conquered, the friendships you have nurtured, and the lessons you have gathered, both within and beyond the four walls of your classrooms. Every moment, whether joyful or difficult, has molded you into the young individuals you are today — resilient compassionate, and united in purpose.”

In closing, Dr. Linan challenged the students to carry the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance as they embark on the next chapter of their academic journey.

“As you move forward, carry with you the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance. Raise the flame of unity wherever life may lead you. The Philippines is in need of young people like you — filled with hope, courage, and an unyielding sense of responsibility. Congratulations, Junior High School completers! May this day mark not only a milestone of achievement but also the beginning of a lifelong commitment to unity excellence, and service. The future belongs to you. Claim it with confidence, humility, and faith.”

The event was graced by Engr. April John M. De Justo, Chief Executive Officer of AMD Engineering and Construction Supply, as the guest speaker, who shared inspiring insights with the completers.

Present also at the event were Dr. Annalie G. Campos, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Cleo Jude A. Joaquin, Main Campus Focal Person; Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of the College of Education (COEd); Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo, Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Chairperson of the Main Campus; Prof. Christie T.
