The VP for Academic Affairs serves as an extension of the President in the conduct of academic affairs in all campuses.  The VPAA  has the following specific function

  • Oversees academic activities and coordinates with other vice presidents as needed;
  • Creates and convenes committee to attend to the activities relative to the development of curriculum and other instruction – related matters;
  • Monitors and evaluates instruction of the different curricular programs and recommends quality measures for improvement;
  • Prepares program for faculty and staff development and proposes the same for approval; 
  • Recommends attendance of faculty to conferences, trainings, seminars, workshops and similar activities;
  • Recommends approval of activities proposed by faculty and student organizations;
  • Sees to it that approved policy relative to academic programs and projects are appropriately implemented;
  • Submits Annual Report on academic programs, projects and activities;
  • Chairs the preparation of the University Annual Report;
  • Performs other duties that the President may assign;


Dr. Susan O. Dangan is a graduate of Bachelor in Arts major in English at Sta. Isabel, Taft, Manila. Her in-depth interest in the field of education blossomed into a further degree in Master of Arts in Teaching major in English and Doctor of Education major in Educational Management at Capiz State University Pontevedra Campus.

She has been given a Service Award for her 30 years of continous exemplary and meritorious service rendered as faculty of the University performing different designations such as graduate school secretary, OIC graduate school dean, research journal editor, QA director and accreditor.

Her published research include “Foregrounding in E.E. Cummings’ Your Little Voice: A Stylistic Analysis” published in JPAIR Multidisciplinary Research and “Performance Assessment of 2009-2012 Entrants in the College Admission Test”.
