
Six scholars from Capiz State University (CAPSU) were recognized for their academic excellence during the 2025 In Touch with Excellence awarding ceremony conducted by the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) on December 10, 2025, at Diversion 21.
The ceremony celebrated DOST–Science Education Institute (SEI) scholar-graduates who earned Latin honors or ranked among the top performers in licensure examinations from various universities across the region.

Representing CAPSU were Jewwelly Hansel Joy B. Degoma (BSED), Rogin L. Ubamos (BSIT), Rone B. Kenneth (BSED), and Isaac Tomas A. Ungui (BS Computer Science), recognized for their outstanding academic performance. Also honored were Rocel Ann A. Valbarez, who ranked Top 6 in the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers, and Dave Vincent P. Alegre, who placed Top 3 in the 2025 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.
The scholars were accompanied by Dr. Jay Ann B. Gregorio, Director of Student Affairs and Services, who expressed pride in their achievements and reaffirmed CAPSU’s commitment to nurturing excellence, leadership, and service among its students.
This recognition underscores CAPSU’s strong partnership with DOST VI in developing future professionals who contribute to national development through science, technology, and education.
