The students of Capiz State University (CAPSU) Sigma Satellite College proudly made their mark in the recently concluded International Essay Competition hosted by Sriwijaya University, Indonesia, which welcomed participants from across Asia, including the Philippines.
This year’s event brought together some of the brightest young minds in the region. From the Philippines alone, 12 participants took part in the competition, while 20 participants represented Indonesia. Among them, six determined writers hailed from CAPSU Sigma Satellite College, namely:

- Arabella Grace H. Villan
- Aela B. Anonat
- Kerby Joyce G. Molina
- Christine Marie Q. Estocada
Their participation showcased not only their individual skills but also the spirit of academic excellence that CAPSU continuously fosters.
The highlight of the event came when Arabella Grace Villan proudly secured a spot in the Top 8 finalists, eventually earning the prestigious title of 2nd Runner-Up. Her outstanding achievement stands as a testament to the talent, dedication, and world-class potential of CAPSU students.

This remarkable milestone was made possible through the unwavering support and dedication of Prof. Edwin J Villaflor, whose encouragement and guidance inspired the participants to pursue excellence and represent their college with pride. The CAPSU community extends its heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Villaflor for believing in the capabilities of the students and for constantly pushing them to reach greater heights.
