Five programs from the five campuses of the Capiz State University (CAPSU) are undergoing online Level I accreditation survey visit by the panel from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered College and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on November 24 to 28, 2025.

An opening ceremony via Zoom was held at the Central Administration Board room on November 24, 2025 in which the accrediting team was introduced to the campuses. Dr. Annalie G. Campos, Vice President for Academic Affairs led the online welcoming of the accrediting team. Joining her is Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Quality Assurance Director, who introduced the university key officials, campus administrators and quality assurance chairpersons to the AACCUP accreditors.

In her welcoming message, Dr. Campos reminded the campuses on the importance of undergoing the evaluation process. “Accreditation is not merely a process of evaluation – it is a journey of transformation. It challenges us to reflect on our strengths, confront our limitations, and embrace opportunities for growth.”, she said.

The following are the programs to be evaluated by the AACCUP accrediting team: Bachelor of Physical Education, Level I, of Burias Campus; Bachelor of Physical Education, Level I, of Pontevedra Campus; Bachelor in Secondary Education, major in Science, Level I, of Dumarao Satellite College; Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education, major in Automotive Technology, Food Service Management, Electrical Technology; Garments, Fashion and Design, Level I, of Sigma Satellite College; and the Bachelor in Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, Level I, of Tapaz Satellite College.

The accreditation team is led by Dr. Ma. Lady Sol A. Suazo from the North Eastern Mindanao University, the lead coordinator. She is joined by the following members: Dr. Christie Lynne C. Codod from the Mountain Province State University, team leader of the accrediting panel for Burias Campus, and Dr. Hans Freyzer B. Arao from Cagayan State University, member; Dr. Babylyn P. Canceran from Cagayan State University, team leader for Dumarao Satellite College, and Dr. Minerva M. Galabay from Cagayan State University, member; Prof. Jazmin P. Cubillo from Cavite State University, team leader for Pontevedra Campus; Prof. Erwin Callo from Philippine Normal University, team leader for Sigma Satellite College, and Prof. Francis F. Aranas from Marikina Polytechnic College, member; Dr. Romellen O. Ramos from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, team leader for Tapaz Satellite College; and Prof. Erlinda G. Ayles from Eastern Visayas State University, who will evaluate the library facilities and holdings of the five campuses.

The local task force of each campus were introduced by their respective Quality Assurance chairpersons.

Undergoing this AACCUP assessment highlights the university’s commitment to academic excellence, ensuring its programs across all campuses adheres to quality assurance and remains responsive to the needs of the students and its stakeholders.
