The Capiz State University (CAPSU) has strengthened its commitment to the welfare of its non-permanent employees by forging a partnership with the Pag-IBIG Fund. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed on May 5 at the Conference Room of the Roxas City Main Campus.

Through this partnership, Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) workers across CAPSU’s three campuses, six satellite colleges, and Central Administration will be registered as Pag-IBIG Fund members. This move will allow them to access a wide range of benefits and services previously unavailable to non-permanent employees.

During the ceremonial signing, CAPSU was represented by Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President III, and Ms. Myleen C. Abelarde, Supervising Administrative Officer and Human Resource Management Officer. Representing the Pag-IBIG Fund were Atty. Stanley F. Alayon, Acting Area Head of Member Services Operations – Western Visayas, and Mr. Rolando E. Gilo, Branch Head of Pag-IBIG Fund Roxas.

In his address, CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan underscored the significance of the partnership.

“This partnership with the Home Development Mutual Fund, more widely known as the Pag-IBIG Fund, allows us to take a concrete step toward ensuring that every member of our workforce, regardless of employment status, has access to the financial security and housing benefits provided by the Pag-IBIG.”

He further emphasized that, “Through this MOA, our job order staff will now be provided the opportunity to access PAG-IBIG membership, enabling them to enjoy savings benefits, avail housing programs, and secure financial assistance options. These are not mere benefits; these are vital tools toward building a more stable, empowered future.”

Atty. Alayon and Mr. Gilo delivered a comprehensive presentation, highlighting the agency’s mandate, performance accomplishments, flagship programs, and the full range of services and benefits available to members.

The signing ceremony was attended by campus administrators, satellite college directors, heads of Central Administration offices, human resource management practitioners, payroll officers, and Pag-IBIG Fund – Roxas staff.
