In line with the celebration of the Provincial Environment and Consciousness Month of the Capiz Provincial Government, personnel from Capiz State University (CAPSU) – Roxas City Main Campus and the Central Administration actively participated in the 4th CaTINLO: Capiz Matinlo Clean-Up Drive and Waste Audit held today, November 19.

Before the activity proper, a brief orientation was conducted at the Boardroom of the Central Administration Building, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus. Mr. Moon C. Alinsangan, Development Management Officer I of the Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (CaPENRO), introduced CaTINLO — a province-wide, simultaneous, community-based clean-up drive aimed at fostering environmental stewardship. He underscored the program’s goal of reducing litter and preventing waste from reaching waterways and illegal dumps, thereby promoting a cleaner and safer environment for all Capiznons.

During the orientation, Mr. Alinsangan also discussed essential guidelines on what participants should do before, during, and after the clean-up drive, emphasizing proper waste identification, sorting, and disposal. Participants then proceeded to designated areas, including the grounds near the library and the vicinity of the Man of Labor statue, to carry out the clean-up activities.

The initiative was successfully conducted with the support and facilitation of Dr. Amel L. Magallanes, Director for Climate Change Management, together with the Capiz Eco-Youth Volunteers – CAPSU Main Campus, whose contributions helped ensure an organized and efficient activity.
