A total of 20 incubatees from the CAPSULE Technology Business Incubator (TBI) and BALAY ABI have successfully completed their basic and advanced incubation program, marking a significant milestone in their entrepreneurial journey. Their graduation ceremony was held on June 24 at Gabriel’s Event Center, Burgos Street, Roxas City, spearheaded by the university’s Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) and the CAPSU TBI.

Dr. Mary Ann B. Martelino, Vice President for Administration and Finance, warmly welcomed the attendees on behalf of CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan.

“Congratulations to our talented incubatees and entrepreneurs on your graduation day,” said Dr. Martelino. “For those who completed the basic incubation program, you’ve laid the ground work for your business and are ready to take the leap. And for our advanced incubation program graduates, you’ve already turned your ideas into reality and have been working tirelessly to grow and sustain your business.”

Dr. Martelino also expressed her appreciation for the graduates’ trust in CAPSU’s support system, “We’re proud of what you’ve achieved, and we’re thrilled to have played a role in your journey. Your success is a testament to the impact you’ll make in your industries. You’ve earned this moment, so celebrate and enjoy it!”

Distinguished guests also delivered congratulatory messages. Dir. Noel A. Catibog, Director of the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) at the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), along with Ms. Maria Teresa T. Solis, Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extensions at the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DA-ACEF), represented by Ms. Gloriedy M. Guisantao of the DA-ACEF Regional Coordinating Unit Staff, joined in recognizing the accomplishments of the graduates.

Prof. French A. Dampog, IPMO Director, formally presented the candidates for graduation, with Dr. Martelino confirming their successful completion of the program.

Following the graduation ceremony, winners of the Business Plan Pitching Competition — held on June 23, in the Boardroom of the Central Administration Building, CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus — were also recognized.

Three of the newly graduated incubatees shared their inspiring experiences and key takeaways, highlighting how their partnerships with CAPSU’s Research, Development, and Extension Office contributed to the growth of their businesses.

The event was formally closed by Prof. Jocelyn S. Legaspi, University Extension Director, who honored the efforts of mentors and event facilitators.

“The success of your graduates is a reflection of your hard work, dedication, and perseverance. May your enthusiasm and commitment continue to radiate so that as many people will be more inspired and be part of this meaningful endeavor,” Prof. Legaspi concluded.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed in the afternoon, further solidifying CAPSU’s continued partnerships with new collaborators and ongoing incubatees.
