Committed to advancing the local workforce, Capiz State University (CAPSU) officially convened its Micro-Credential Committee on February 25, 2026, at the Central Administration Boardroom.

The meeting was presided over by Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Director for Instruction, together with Dr. Rossandrew B. Villaruel, Director for Quality Assurance. Dr. Joaquin presented a comprehensive overview of the development guidelines and outlined the process for securing approval from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

In line with CAPSU’s commitment to accessibility and responsive education, the initiative will be spearheaded by CAPSU Sapian and gradually rolled out across the university’s campuses and satellite colleges.

The committee members, selected for their expertise across the university system, have been assigned specific roles to ensure the successful implementation and long-term sustainability of the micro-credential programs.
