The College of Education of Capiz State University, Roxas City Main Campus, together with Universitas Sriwijaya in Indonesia and Lampang Rajabhat University in Thailand, held an International Collaborative Webinar on November 26, 2025. The session centered on the theme “Amplifying English Learning: Harnessing Podcasts as Innovative Tools in English Language Teaching.”
Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Dean of the College of Education, opened the program with a message that highlighted the value of global partnerships and digital innovation in today’s English Language Teaching landscape. She was followed by Dr. Ginalyn G. Dacles, EAL Chair of CAPSU–Roxas City Main Campus, who introduced the resource speaker and shared her background in digital pedagogy and language education.
The main lecture was delivered by Dr. Rita Inderawati, M.Pd, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of Universitas Sriwijaya. She walked the participants through the advantages of using podcasts in language teaching and offered a practical, step-by-step guide to creating educational podcasts, from conceptualization to classroom integration.
To close the event, Dr. Marien A. Laureto, Director for National and International Affairs, thanked the partner institutions, organizers, and participants for their commitment to collaborative learning.
The activity was coordinated by Dr. Mira Luna T. Sabid, whose leadership ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
