To strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience across all units of the university, the Capiz State University (CAPSU) Central Administration and Roxas City Main Campus personnel participated in the simultaneous Regional Earthquake and Tsunami Drill on October 24, 2025.

The activity was led by University President Dr. Efren L. Linan, through the offices of the university Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) headed by Dr. Arnel Van V. Aleligay, and the National Service Training Program (NSTP) headed by Dr. Elmer M. Albaladejo.

The alarm sounded at exactly 3:00 PM, signaling the start of the earthquake scenario. All the employees at the campus and the central administration building promptly executed the “Duck, Cover and Hold” protocol before proceeding to the designated evacuation area. A headcount was conducted to ensure that everyone has properly executed the “Building Exit” procedure. The entire drill was completed within 7-minute time.

A short remark was given by President Linan before concluding the drill. He thanked all the employees for their participation and reminded them of remembering the safety protocols for their safety.
