Capiz State University met the Hiroshima University key officials at Visayas State University last March 16, 2025 to plan out future collaborations on research innovation, student exchange program, and faculty lecturer exchange. The meeting was held during the fellowship night of the delegates and researchers during the National Symposium headed by the Visayas State University with Dr. Prose Ivy Yepes as the President, in cooperation with the Hiroshima University.

As part of expanding the linkages in research, extension, and academics, CAPSU OIC for Research Development and Extension Office, Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar represented the University President Dr. Efren L. Linan in the Networking of Philippine Higher Education Institutions and US Universities . The event was held October 10, 2024 at the Sheraton Hotel Manila Bay.

The Capiz State University’s Research, Development, and Extension (CAPSU-RDE) Office is making strides toward the internationalization of its research and extension programs through the recently concluded activity entitled Strategizing Internationalization of CAPSU-Research and Extension Programs held at at the CAPSU-Central Board Room, Roxas City, Capiz on October 03, 2024.

This event marks the opening of the week-long celebration, the 1st Western Visayas Innovative Startup Fest, with the theme “Bridging Ideas and Opportunities for a Thriving Startup Ecosystem” led by UMWAD Western Visayas, ISAT U-KWADRA TBI, and DOST RO6.

CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan paid a courtesy visit to Cong. Tawi Billones, Representative of the First District of the Province of Capiz at the House of Representatives. Joining Dr. Linan were Mr. Mark Glenn F. Villamor, University Planning Officer IV, and Dr. Cherry Anne M. Deang, University Budget Officer.
