The Capiz State University (CAPSU) accumulated a total of 65 points securing the 4th spot in the overall rank in the recently concluded Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges Region VI (RASUC VI) Culture and the Arts Conference and Festival 2024 held at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU), Negros Occidental, on March 23-26.

This year’s conference had the theme “Bidlisiw: Paghilom, Pagbangon, at Pagsulong” and was participated by the 11 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the Western Visayas region.

The categories listed below have been victoriously claimed by the CAPSUnian delegation:

  • Mitchie Sumeran Sangalang – Ms. RASUC VI – CAPSU delegate, Muse of the Media, Best in Terno
  • Champion – Show Choir
  • 1st Runner-Up – Live Band
  • 1st Runner-Up – On-the-Spot Painting
  • 1st Runner-Up – On-the-Spot Poster Making
  • 1st Runner-Up – Short and Sweet Play
  • 2nd Runner-Up – Standard Chorale Singing
  • 2nd Runner-Up – Vocal Solo (Kundiman)
  • 2nd Runner-Up – Pencil Drawing
  • 3rd Runner-Up – Vocal Duet
  • 3rd Runner-Up – Philippine Folk Dance
  • 3rd Runner-Up – Indigenous Folk Dance
  • 4th Runner-Up – Instrumental Solo (Bandurria)
  • 4th Runner-Up – Instrumental Solo (Guitar)
  • 4th Runner-Up – Street Dance

These achievements not only brought pride and honor to the entire CAPSU community but also to the province of Capiz.
