To strengthen regional presence and reconnect with regional partners, Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo of Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main Campus was invited and participated as moderator during The Youth Voices Count Regional Assembly 2023 held at Ibis Riverside Bangkok Hotel, Thailand on June 6-10, 2023.

Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo is an associate professor at Capiz State University, Roxas City, Main Campus. Presently, he is the Student Organizations and Activities (SOA) Coordinator and at the same time the co-adviser of United Colors of CapSU Roxas City Main Campus, a student organization which has the advocacy on awareness of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions and sex characteristics (SOGIESC). Also, he holds position as the Board of Trustees-President of the Youth Voices Count (YVC), a legally registered as a non-governmental organization which advocates for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), youth empowerment, human rights issues of young people of diverse SOGIESC.

This year, YVC aims to rekindle the organization’s past achievements by bringing former and current members of YVC; illuminate the present plans of YVC to strengthen its membership, leadership, operations both at the regional and global levels; and ignite the future of the organization by securing commitments by both members and partners, initiating discussions for collaboration, and enabling a consultative process of decision-making for the future of YVC.

In the said activity, Inclusive Educational Spaces for LGBTIQ + panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Dayalo.

YVC has an existing memorandum of agreement with Capiz State University Roxas City Main Campus for the implementation of programs, activities and linkages pertaining to the advocacy.
