Capiz State University – Intellectual Property Management Office has won as Best Facilitator/Enabler at the Science and Technology Innovations in Agri-Aqua Award (SINAG) Award conferred by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Sciences Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD).

The award was given on November 10 during the 51st Council Founding Anniversary of DOST-PCAARRD.

Dr. Efren L. Linan, the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, personally received the award, which consists of a plaque of recognition, a cash prize amounting to P200,000, and a proposal-based P1 million project grant.

The SINAG Award aims to recognize the effort of an individual, group of individuals, or organization instrumental in the successful adoption and commercialization of a component technology or package of technologies.

The Facilitator/Enabler Award is one of the three newly created SINAG awards which is given to recognize the contribution of the facilitators/enablers based on the merits of how the technology/ies was moved from research up to commercialization stage.
