The Capiz State University (CAPSU) gathered its retirees today, November 17, at the Board Room of the Central Administration Building, Roxas City Main Campus, for the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the CAPSU Retirees Federation and Campus Officers.
The event was spearheaded by Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages, through the Alumni and Community Affairs Office headed by Prof. Davidica L. Avelino, with the theme “Celebrating Years of Dedication and New Beginnings.”
In her message, Dr. Legaspi warmly welcomed and acknowledged the honorees’ contributions, emphasizing their lasting impact on the university.
“Today, we gather to honor and celebrate a special group of individuals who have devoted many meaningful years to the service of Capiz State University — our beloved retirees,” she said. “On behalf of the entire CAPSU family, allow me to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment, your hard work, and your immeasurable contribution to the growth and success of our institution,” Dr. Legaspi added.
CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan then presided over the oath-taking ceremony of the federation and campus officers. Following the induction, he delivered a message and presented a brief reintroduction of CAPSU to the retirees, highlighting the university’s notable achievements across its four-fold functions. He also underscored how CAPSU continues to advance as a leading provider of quality tertiary education in Capiz and nearby provinces.

To officially open their new chapter, Dr. Adelfo Z. Virtudazo, newly elected president of the retirees federation, delivered his inaugural address. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Emmanuel V. Perez, newly elected vice president.
