Earth warriors from Capiz State University (CAPSU) brought home multiple awards from the Earth Warriors Invasion (EWI) 2025, an environmental summit and competition organized by the Proyekto Volunteers Network (PVN). The event was held on November 22 at the City of Passi Arena, Passi City, Iloilo.
This year’s invasion was held in celebration of National Environmental Awareness Month and gathered more than 700 youth leaders and environmental advocates from 40 school and community organizations across Aklan, Capiz, and Iloilo.
CAPSU delegations excelled in the following categories:
Sabayang Bigkas Kalikasan (13 competing teams)
- 4th Place: CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus
- 5th Place: CAPSU Burias Campus
SineKalikasan: Dalawang Minutong Pelikulang Pangkalikasan (13 competing teams)
- 5th Place: CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus
Digital EcoArt (17 entries)
- 3rd Place: CAPSU Dumarao Satellite College
The event was organized in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Passi City through its Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), alongside the Passi City Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation and the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC).
Also present at the event was Dr. Amel L. Magallanes, Director of the Climate Change Management Office (CCMO), together with CCMO coordinators from various campuses, who rendered full support and guidance to the CAPSUnian delegates throughout the competition.
