The Capiz State University (CAPSU) earned two major recognitions for its exemplary performance in Gender and Development budget allocation and utilization for fiscal year 2024.

The awards, conferred by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), were presented during a ceremony held on September 25 at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria Hotel, Ortigas Center, Quezon City.
Representing CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan, GAD Director Dr. Jesusa L. Luda and Board Secretary V Dr. Mary Jane L. Arroyo personally received the certificate of recognition.
PCW Chairperson Ermelita V. Valdeavilla presented the following distinctions to CAPSU:
Rank 6 – SUC with Highest Attributed Expenditures
Rank 8 – SUC with Highest Org-Focused Expenditures
These achievements, built on the groundwork laid by former GAD Director Dr. Lucille Marquez and continued by Dr. Luda, affirm CAPSU’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and the mainstreaming of gender-responsive programs across the university system.
